Monday's art group end of year show.

Steve has asked us all to put in a piece for the end of year show he's holding on Sat 21st of July so I've decided to put in one of the Eucalyptus prints I've been working on.

This is the first time working with the Akua Intaglio Inks with collographs. they behaved very differently from the stay open inks and were more watery in colour once printed, but cleaning up after is a dream! I worked over the collagraph print with chalk pastels and water colour pencils and then finally pen and ink to try and develop some depth to the image. Unfortunately the scanned image of the original has come out a lot darker, but it gives you an idea.
